The Buffett Beach Band—one of the top Jimmy Buffett tribute bands in the country—brings live music, tropical drinks, and pure summer energy to the Egan Center. Sing along to iconic hits, dance like it's summer in February, and kick off Fur Rondy in unforgettable style.
Frostbite Footrace, Costume Fun Run & Frosty Paw Dog Jog

Three races, one unforgettable morning. Run the challenging 5K, join the festive fun run in your best costume, or bring your pup for the dog jog. Starting at the 5th Avenue Skywalk and finishing near 6th and G, this early-morning Rondy tradition celebrates winter running in Alaska with awards, community spirit, and post-race festivities.
Running of the Reindeer

One of the world's most iconic winter races returns to 4th Avenue. Costumed runners from across the globe sprint down the street in a mad dash to outrun live reindeer. It's not about speed—it's about the spectacle, the costumes, and the pure chaos. Plus, every registration supports Toys for Tots, making this wild tradition a fundraiser for a great cause.

2026 Fur Rondy Pins
Own a piece of Alaska History
The first Rondy pins were created in 1939. Each year, artists compete to design the official pin and local students do the same in a booster button contest. These pins and buttons become collector’s items; some are worth thousands of dollars.

Every February, Anchorage comes alive for Fur Rendezvous—“Rondy,” North America’s largest winter festival. For over 90 years, this iconic tradition has celebrated Alaska’s frontier spirit, bringing the community together for world-class sled dog races, massive snow sculptures, and fireworks.
From its 1935 roots as a gathering for trappers and miners to today’s citywide celebration featuring over 50 events—including the Running of the Reindeer and the Official Fur Auction—Rondy is the ultimate showcase of Alaskan life and winter wonder.
