Bundle up and join three races in one! The Frostbite Footrace (5k) challenges serious runners, the Costume Fun Run (2.5 K) welcomes everyone in creative winter gear, and the Frosty Paw Dog Jog (2.5K) lets you run alongside your furry friends.

Whether you're chasing a personal record, embracing the absurd, or bringing your pup, this early-morning Rondy tradition kicks off the festival weekend with energy and community spirit.

All three races celebrate the joy of winter running in Alaska, with post-race festivities and awards for top finishers and best costumes.

Course Route

Start: Fifth Avenue Skywalk (between the Egan Center and the Performing Arts Center)
Finish: Near 6th Avenue & G Street

  • Frostbite Footrace 5K → 2 laps

  • Costume Fun Run 2.5K → 1 lap

  • Frosty Paw Dog Jog 2.5K → 1 lap

  • Time Limit → 1 hour (Course closes at 10:30 AM)
